Our take on Darfall
The defining structure is its alternating schedule: daylight is reserved for growth, exploration, and preparation, while darkness turns the settlement into a defensive holdout against undead waves.
What is Darfall?
Darfall combines hero-focused role-playing with settlement construction and defense.
During daylight, players collect materials, expand and reinforce their town, explore nearby areas, improve heroes, acquire loot, and learn abilities. After nightfall, undead forces attack in successive waves, requiring the settlement and its defenders to hold until morning. The campaign follows missions across Aganor, a fantasy continent threatened by darkness. Several hero types, including wizards and warriors, bring different skills and can gain levels or use artifacts found during play. An in-game editor supports custom scenarios, maps, quests, and scripted campaigns for sharing with other players. A separate survival mode adds escalating nightly threats, followed by rebuilding during each morning.
How Darfall plays

- 04Custom content editor
- Players can create scenarios, maps, quests, and scripted campaigns, then share those creations with others.
- 05Escalating survival mode
- Each night introduces growing dangers, while mornings provide an opportunity to rebuild before the next assault.
