Our take on First Feudal
The central control choice is whether to delegate daily work to profession-assigned peasants or take direct command of individuals and groups during combat.
What is First Feudal?
Start with a small group of peasants and limited supplies, then expand a village by building, mining, farming, crafting equipment, trading, and researching.
Assign professions so residents carry out work, or give direct orders to individuals and groups during combat. Bandits and wild animals attack regularly; defenses include walls, traps, and a militia. Keep residents supplied with food and housing to attract settlers, and prepare for winter by storing provisions and building shelters and fires. Random events present choices about how to allocate goods and supplies. Cooperative multiplayer supports up to 6 players building a village and fighting together.
How First Feudal plays
- 01Delegated professions
- Peasants assigned to one of ten professions carry out tasks associated with their jobs.
- 02Direct combat orders
- Individual fighters or groups can be commanded instead of leaving all defense to the militia.
- 03Cooperative play
- As many as 6 players can build a settlement and fight together.
- 04Seasonal provisions
- Winter preparation includes storing food that will keep and providing fires and housing.
