Our take on Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire
Rather than keeping farming and combat in separate modes, the game ties them to a day-and-night rhythm: crops are cultivated during the day, then defended from Dracula’s forces at night. Its vampire story also replaces the expected blood diet with plant-based cultivation.
What is Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire?
Set in Transylvania, this farming action roguelite follows Voltaire, Dracula’s youngest son, as he abandons blood for a plant-based diet.
By day, players use magical seeds to grow crops, expand the farm and its territory, and travel through different biomes. At night, Dracula sends minions to attack the crops, so Voltaire must defend them. The journey also includes fights against bosses and mythical creatures, plus bounties from his uncles Frank and Stein. Players can develop Voltaire into higher vampire forms and gain new abilities. The story frames farming and crop defense as part of his attempt to challenge his father and establish a greener vampire legacy.
