Our take on Don't Die, Collect Loot
Rather than centering on a balanced climb toward a fixed power ceiling, this roguelite makes escalating strength the core loop: loot, upgrade, and keep growing. Its adjustable settings can also be changed during a run, rather than being fixed before play.
What is Don't Die, Collect Loot?
Don't Die, Collect Loot combines arcade roguelite RPG play with bullet-hell combat.
Choose from five hero classes, then select abilities from a skill tree as enemies attack in large numbers and fire volleys of bullets. Explore procedurally generated retro fantasy worlds, collect randomized equipment, and sell items to increase the hero’s power. The loot generator can produce unusually strong items as well as less useful ones, with rare unique items also appearing; equipment can be customized. Difficulty and other aspects of the experience can be adjusted, including during a run. A storyline unfolds through mysterious artifacts and clues about a world frozen in time. The progression focuses on continuing to increase the chosen hero’s power across repeated runs.
