Rather than centering a heroic champion, the campaign places its fate in the hands of misfits and criminals. Its turn-based battles also use objects and hazards in the environment, replacing a purely ability-driven approach with situations that can alter combat.
What is Blackguards?
Blackguards is a turn-based strategy RPG set in a dark fantasy story about crime, drugs, murder, doubt, treason, and loss.
Players choose a warrior, mage, or hunter, then customize skills, spells, and abilities for tactical combat. Battles take place across more than 180 hex-based maps, with interactive objects such as beehives, barrels, flammable swamp gas, and torches affecting encounters. A party can include up to five characters. The campaign includes key decision points that influence the story and its outcome. Combat offers 40 special abilities and more than 90 spells, while the campaign provides more than 40 hours of play.
