Our take on Blightstone
The store copy foregrounds deep strategy and a large range of mechanics, but the central structure is repeated attempts: failure, skill collection, and another procedurally generated journey. The emphasis on a world-saving quest does not change that roguelike loop.
What is Blightstone?
Lead a party of adventurers on a mission to protect the Earthglass Crystal, deliver it to the Infernal Rift, defeat Korghul, and destroy the Blightstone.
Battles use free movement rather than a grid, with cover, objects, enemies, terrain, and weather affecting tactics. Fog limits visibility, rain strengthens electric attacks, and wind changes accuracy. Players recruit heroes from Brawler, Hunter, Arcanist, Druid, and Priest classes, then unlock active and passive abilities for the party and crystal. Combat includes melee, ranged, area-of-effect, grappling, and status effects such as bleeding, poison, binding, stun, and burn. Procedural generation changes each journey, while nightly camps require resource gathering for healing and protection from the Blight.
