Our take on Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders
Rather than separating strategy from action, the game places hero-controlled melee combat inside large-scale army command. Battlefield weather, terrain, and formations replace a fixed combat structure, while campaign spoils feed directly into troop development.
What is Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders?
Lead fantasy armies across four campaigns while personally fighting on the battlefield as one of four heroes.
Give orders from a tactical map, use melee attacks and combos, and call allied heroes with distinct skills and spells. Battlefield conditions affect combat: sunlight can blind targets, smoke can conceal movement, high ground provides an advantage, wind redirects smoke and arrows, and rain extinguishes flames. Campaign progression takes place on a 3D world map. Spoils from battles fund troop upgrades, equipment, class changes, and special abilities. Armies can include airships and giant monsters. The PC version includes widescreen HD presentation, controller support, and a mouse-and-keyboard control mode.
