- Players who want simple action without troop management may struggle when battles require positioning, commanders, magic, and battlefield abilities.

Our take on Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes
The bounce point arrives when direct hero combat gives way to managing regiments, allied commanders, troop development, and battlefield effects. Players who do not want to track several layers of army control may lose momentum before the later campaigns, even if the hack-and-slash combat initially appeals.
What is Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes?
This hybrid action and strategy game follows seven playable heroes across seven story-driven campaigns and 50 missions.
Players fight directly, command human, elf, orc, and other forces, and develop troops by looting, leveling, and changing their forms. Battles include traps, ambushes, fire arrows, artillery, air units, combat magic, and weather effects such as wind and rain. Allied commanders add abilities and magic to fielded forces, while elemental units include Fire Wraiths, Ice Maidens, Thunder Rhinos, and Earth Golems. An explorable campaign map spans two eras, and random battles provide additional encounters. The PC version supports gamepads, mouse and keyboard controls, widescreen HD, and ultrawide displays.
