Our take on Thorne - Death Merchants
Rather than presenting one uninterrupted fantasy campaign, the game divides Thorne’s adventures into separate episodes. Its protagonist is also a contract mercenary facing imprisonment, corruption, and uncertain alliances instead of a conventional heroic adventurer.
What is Thorne - Death Merchants?
Thorne: Death Merchants follows The Crow, an infamous mercenary, in a story-focused RPG told through separate episodes.
After being jailed for a killing he did not commit, Thorne breaks free, carries out a paid assignment, and investigates the dark secret behind Hollow Lake, a settlement damaged by corruption. Each episode presents another chapter from his past. The setting is bleak and filled with morally uncertain people who can become allies or enemies. Battles feature supernatural foes, untamed animals, tainted creatures, spellcasters, and armed trackers seeking the bounty placed on Thorne. Progression lets players select from many accessories to match preferred fighting methods. The game comes from a Brazilian independent developer and was released by Aldorlea Games.

Dungeon Defenders: Awakened combines action RPG combat with cooperative tower defense, loot, pets, leveling, and character customization, while Thorne: Death Merchants centers on an episodic mercenary story. Quasimorph also involves contracts and character progression, but uses a high-stakes roguelike structure with cyberpunk and cosmic-horror themes.
