The clearest bounce point is multiplayer matchmaking: players expecting to join random opponents cannot do so. Matches are limited to solo play or friends invited through Steam, so multiplayer depends on having people to invite.
What is AutoHeroes?
AutoHeroes is a roguelike autobattler built around managing one hero rather than an army or a deck.
Four competitors fight for the throne on randomly generated maps, either individually or in teams. Set priorities for objects and enemies, then upgrade skills and equipment as a match unfolds. Choose among a warrior, archer, fire mage, and dark mage, and develop skill combinations from different schools.
Matches can be played solo or with friends in PvE or PvP, with settings for AI strength and team arrangements. There is no matchmaking with random opponents. The game also lets players recruit guards through persuasion or compel them to fight after death, while choosing whether to attack rival heroes early or extend each round to gain an advantage.
