Our take on Demiurges
Rather than separating deck construction from a map-based strategy campaign, Demiurges makes cards part of exploration, city growth, resource use, and hex-grid combat. Its additional autobattler mode also shifts the game beyond a solely solo run structure.
What is Demiurges?
Demiurges combines strategic roguelike runs with card-based planning and turn-based combat.
Players explore a map with multiple heroes, finding items, resources, structures, and enemies while defeating regional guardians to open new areas. Obtaining the Grail advances the whole map to its next level. Before battles, cards can be selected from the unlocked collection to shape a deck, while map resources provide the costs for playing them. Each faction has a city that can be expanded with structures, units, buildings, and resource production. Demiurges recruit heroes, learn abilities through experience, and command armies in hex-grid fights governed by Initiative. Knucklefest offers an autobattler mode against seven other players.
