Our take on Abomi Nation
Permadeath can make each battle consequential for party composition: an Abomi lost in one of these fights is gone permanently, unless the rule is turned off.
What is Abomi Nation?
Abomi Nation is a roguelike monster-taming RPG where each run generates a different island, with changing areas, bosses, and Abomis to recruit.
Build a party from more than 175 Abomis and develop it through recruiting, evolving, and mastering its members. Battles use a turn-based system focused on one-on-one combat, with tactics that can affect benched Abomis before they enter. Creature types, abilities, personalities, and bonds shape encounters and team reactions. In permadeath battles, fallen Abomis are lost permanently.
A run can continue with permadeath disabled, at the cost of some rewards. Between battles, meals, minigames, and town events provide ways to raise team stats. Settings can change creature spawning, recruitment control, and whether permanent death applies. Repeated runs unlock Abomi forms, areas, and items.

Abomi Nation compared to similar games
Abomi Nation pairs randomized monster recruitment and party development with optional permadeath. Shogun Showdown instead focuses on positioning, attack tiles, deck building, and a fight against the Shogun; its description says death begins another run, while Abomi Nation can permanently remove individual Abomis during a run.
