Our take on Kindred Fates: Combat Arena
Permanent companion death changes the usual party-based RPG safety net. Fallen Kinfolk become a recovery decision rather than a routine defeat, while failure to retrieve a soul can remove a team member from the game.
What is Kindred Fates: Combat Arena?
Kindred Fates: Combat Arena presents a beta section of Amberwood, a small area of the open world.
Players befriend Kinfolk, solve puzzles, customize abilities, and assemble teams for real-time combat against bandits and other players. Companions can receive nicknames, favorite foods, training, levels, and EV training. When a Kinfolk dies, its soul can be collected for revival before it disappears; otherwise, the companion is gone permanently.
Horde Mode adds a single-player challenge against increasing groups of Restless Kinfolk, with abilities and items available in the compound. Character creation includes facial features, hair colors, scars, and facial markings. The purchase includes the Combat Arena Beta, planned Early Access and full game access, an in-game title, a cosmetic hoodie, and the official soundtrack.
