Our take on Zoeti
Instead of treating cards as a separate deck-building layer, Zoeti makes poker hands the commands for battle abilities. Combat therefore revolves around assembling combinations such as pairs and flushes, replacing the usual menu of standalone attacks with hand construction.
What is Zoeti?
Zoeti is a turn-based roguelite built around a deck of playing cards.
During battles, card combinations such as pairs, full houses, and straight flushes activate skills for attacking or defending. Skills can be added or improved through battles, discoveries, purchases, quests, and help from locals. Runs involve choosing between safer routes and difficult fights offering exceptional rewards. The game includes three modes, three playable characters, and five difficulty levels. Valentina focuses on blocking and direct strength, Alves uses evasion, bleeding, and tactical tricks, while Nicora attacks with fire, ice, and lightning. Builds combine skills and upgrades against different enemies as the land is threatened by monsters.
