Our take on Kumitantei: Old-School Slaughter
Its defining structure is a murder mystery told through investigations and card-based trials, with relationships supplying additional cards for courtroom debates.
What is Kumitantei: Old-School Slaughter?
Set in an alternate 1989, this episodic murder mystery follows sixteen elite students trapped in a deadly experiment inside a decaying bunker.
Players investigate crime scenes, collect evidence, and bring their findings into trials where cards shape debates and arguments. Classmates can be approached through conversation and gifts, providing additional cards for the deck. Cards found in the bunker and gained through relationships can be combined for different strategies during trials. The game also includes arcade-inspired challenges and a visual style influenced by retro anime and Japanese mystery-adventure games. Kumitantei: Old-School Slaughter is planned as a six-episode series, beginning release in early 2026.
