We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Beat ’em up fans who want roguelike elements in their combat runs
- Small groups who want to play an action game together locally

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for a single uninterrupted campaign may find the repeated-playthrough structure a poor match.
- Players who want to avoid learning skills and ultimate abilities may hit a wall as they try to progress through the story.
- Groups seeking online co-op rather than local play may not find the multiplayer mode they want.
Our take on Tunche
Players who prefer to master a fixed set of moves may hit a wall when progress depends on learning skills and ultimate abilities across repeated playthroughs. The description does not explain how much those abilities change between runs, so the point of friction is the skill-learning system itself.
What is Tunche?
Tunche is a hand-drawn action game that combines beat ’em up and hack-and-slash combat with roguelike elements.
Players travel through 4 Amazonian worlds, each with its own enemies, bosses, challenges, and stories. The game can be played solo or in local co-op with up to 3 friends. Five characters are available: Rumi, Pancho, Qaru, Nayra, and Hat Kid from A Hat in Time. Each offers a different way to play. Learning skills and ultimate abilities is part of progressing through the story, with each playthrough carrying the journey further. The goal is to uncover the forest’s mystery and restore peace in the Amazon rainforest.
