Our take on Tower Hunter: Erza's Trial
The run-based structure sacrifices permanent progress after death: most of an attempt is lost, with only a portion of resources carried forward. That trade-off keeps each climb consequential but makes advancement depend on repeated tower attempts.
What is Tower Hunter: Erza's Trial?
Tower Hunter: Erza’s Trial is a 2.
5D side-scrolling roguelite in which Erza ascends a giant tower made from changing modules and varied terrain. Death returns her to the beginning, while some resources persist between attempts for new skills and later stages. Combat uses limited supplies, dodges, adjustable jumps, light and heavy attacks, weapon-specific combos, magic, and special abilities activated by commands. Each adventure offers a passive skill through the rune core system. Boss victories produce cards that determine licence levels, which also provide status and power. Exploration includes destructible hidden routes and sealed doors opened with matching colour keys. The game is a prologue about Erza’s rise to become the Empire’s youngest Major.
