RPGIs VALENS worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Racing fans who want weapon-based competition rather than non-combat driving
- Players who enjoy managing upgrades during active races
- Arcade pilots looking for varied space and planetary environments
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a peaceful racer without weapons, rival destruction, or combat equipment
- Players wanting uninterrupted speed, since pit stops reduce speed and disable firing while servicing the Hover
- Players looking for broad non-racing activities beyond the race-and-upgrade cycle
Our take on VALENS
The pit-stop system trades uninterrupted racing for maintenance and progression: stopping is required to buy upgrades and restore equipment, but it temporarily reduces speed and disables firing.
What is VALENS?
Control an armed anti-gravity Hover in races across planets, satellites, space stations, and asteroid mines.
Races award credits for crossing energy barriers and destroying rival Hovers. Each event begins with a basic configuration, while pit stops provide purchases, equipment restoration, and five upgrade levels for each upgrade type. Visiting a pit stop reduces speed and disables firing during the stop, but restores ammunition, armor, shields, and energy. A level 50 Hover has 50 slots. Available equipment includes missiles, bombs, mines, machine guns, lasers, shields, armor, stealth fields, nitro, and generators. If a Hover is destroyed, it returns at a pit stop, losing current-round progress while retaining credits earned from destroyed rivals.
How VALENS plays
- 01Combat Racing
- Pilots use missiles, bombs, mines, guns, lasers, shields, stealth fields, and nitro while competing on hazardous routes.
- 02Pit Stop Upgrades
- Stops allow purchases and restore ammunition, armor, shields, and energy, but temporarily reduce speed and disable firing.
- 03Five-Level Equipment
- Every upgrade category can be improved through five stages during races.
- 04Level 50 Capacity
- A fully upgraded level 50 Hover contains 50 equipment slots.
- 05Progress Retention
- Destruction removes progress from the current round while credits from eliminated rivals remain.
