Our take on Ink Inside
The game trades a narrowly focused combat experience for a mixed adventure structure combining exploration, quests, character stories, shops, gear upgrades, and live-action scenes. That variety broadens the presentation, but leaves less room for combat alone to define every section.
What is Ink Inside?
Play as Stick, an unfinished doodle trapped beneath a leaking ceiling in a stack of notebooks.
Rising water distorts the sketchbook worlds and turns friendly doodles into monsters. Explore illustrated areas, complete quests, uncover shared memories, and meet fully voiced characters whose stories connect to Stick’s history. Combat combines projectile dodging, melee combos, and ball-based attacks. Collect equipment, improve abilities, and fill a special meter that lets Stick break through enemy defenses for extra damage. Shops offer gear upgrades, while recruited characters add to the journey. The adventure includes animated characters, live-action scenes, hand-drawn art, and a human-orchestrated soundtrack.
