Our take on Unending Dusk
Players who want to tune character builds may hit a wall in Arcade Mode: it removes RPG mechanics, so mods and tech-tree adjustments are not part of that mode. The distinction matters for anyone expecting progression choices throughout every run.
What is Unending Dusk?
This retro-style beat ’em up RPG takes place in a ruined future, where an elite mercenary battles a force that has plunged Earth into endless twilight.
Fight waves of enemies through stages generated at random, alone or in online sessions for as many as four players. Select from separate character classes, equip upgrade mods, and modify a tech tree to alter attacks and combine them into combos. Arcade Mode provides a full-game run for up to four players in local or online co-op, with RPG systems removed. Normal difficulty grants unlimited lives; hard difficulty allows 12. Other additions include the ability to grab and throw non-tank foes, along with more enemy varieties, settings, and interactive objects.
