What is Super Hydorah?
Super Hydorah is a horizontal shoot ’em up set during an invasion of the Omios star.
Players pilot the Delta Lance, choose routes through a branching campaign, and fight across 21 levels split into 35 sublevels. Missions include weapon choices and power-ups, along with hazards beyond incoming fire. The game features 35 bosses, more than 100 enemies, secrets, multiple endings, achievements, and a ranking system. It supports solo play, cooperative multiplayer, and Robot Chase, a separate spin-off mode. The campaign uses a hand-crafted visual style with a CRT display effect and includes an original soundtrack of more than 60 tracks. Players face the Meroptians planet by planet while selecting equipment for each mission.
