Our take on Citadelum
The gods are woven into the playthrough: offerings may win one deity's favor while provoking another, making divine relationships a source of changing events.
What is Citadelum?
Citadelum is a city-building game set in legendary Ancient Rome.
Players gather and process resources, raise crops and animals, maintain food supplies, and use aqueducts to bring water to buildings. Citizens can work as artisans, farmers, or carpenters, or train for military service. Walls and towers defend the settlement from barbarian attacks. On the world map, players explore, relieve besieged villages, secure territory, establish trade routes, and import goods. Legions fight in tactical auto-battles. Temples and offerings let players seek favor from the gods, whose responses can include gifts or punishment. Missions, artifacts, and challenges vary between playthroughs.
How Citadelum plays
