Our take on REVO
Rather than building its structure around open exploration or long-form role-playing progression, REVO returns to the fixed, vertical-scrolling arcade format. Its modern additions are weapon loadouts, resource collection, and multiple combat configurations within that compact structure.
What is REVO?
REVO is a fast-paced, neon-lit space shoot ’em up inspired by vertical-scrolling arcade games from the 1980s.
Players dodge enemy waves, collect pickups, and unlock weapons that consume substantial ammunition. The game includes 17 handcrafted levels, 10 enemy classes, environmental hazards, and five boss battles built around shooting their cores. Up to four attacks can be equipped at once, with loadout combinations supporting different play styles and situations. Destroyed enemies leave debris that becomes a resource for continued combat. The story follows someone caught in a space storm and taken aboard a mysterious symbiotic vessel, with escape requiring combat. A synth-based soundtrack and neon visual effects accompany the action.
