What is Steam Marines?
This squad-based roguelike takes place aboard a besieged steampunk spaceship.
Guide a team through its decks, clear enemies, and reach each level’s elevator. Turn-based combat focuses on positioning and resource use, with each marine bringing individual gear, talents, and Action Points. Five classes, four promotion ranks, and five perks provide ways to develop squad members, while weapons, armor, and enemies are randomized. Decks feature destructible walls and varied high and low ground; the game includes five human decks and a sixth alien deck. Fallen marines are permanently lost, and finding survivors is not guaranteed. Four difficulty settings are available, along with performance scoring and New Game Plus after a run through 30 levels.
