The campaign takes place in a dangerous open world containing enemies, dragons, beasts, bosses, resources, artifacts, and new spells. Boss victories provide additional spells, while gathered resources improve army attributes and support advancement along class paths. The game emphasizes constant movement, tactical positioning, and coordinated use of different beings and their abilities. Classic mode is also included as a 2D, randomly generated open-world RTS from the original project.
