Our take on Krater
Permanent injuries and character death can alter a squad’s progress, making team survival a defining part of the campaign.
What is Krater?
In a distant, ruined Sweden, Krater is a dungeon-focused role-playing game with combat unfolding in real time and viewed through a traditional strategy-game lens.
Lead freelance teams across underground passages, caverns, settlements, and city zones, battling foes, pursuing missions, collecting salvage, and making equipment, weapons, objects, and abilities. Its open world contains procedurally varied underground areas and happenings, over 60 individually built sites, and more than 200 quests. Team members develop stronger attributes, new skills, and added gear, yet lasting wounds or death can occur.
The main story is playable without an internet connection; optional online play provides co-op missions and boss encounters. Three groups struggle over the Krater, an impact scar that opens into the buried remains of an extinct civilization.
