What is Pixel Privateers?
Pixel Privateers is a squad-based tactical RPG about mercenaries sent through a wormhole to gather technology for an employer.
The trip becomes one-way, leaving the crew to explore planets, encounter factions, and collect equipment across a galaxy. Players can issue orders to squad members individually in tactical mode or direct the group together. Difficulty settings range from a more casual experience to Hardcore Mode, where character death is permanent. Crew members gain skills and abilities through advancement, while research into alien artifacts opens technologies. The ship can also be built up and explored between expeditions. Faction histories and loyalties shape the story, and unwanted equipment can be broken down into Matter for crew enhancements.
