Our take on Dungeon Merchant
The game trades direct control of dungeon runs for an idle expedition structure built around shop decisions. Permanent hero and equipment loss adds weight to each deployment, but also limits recovery after a failed trip.
What is Dungeon Merchant?
Dungeon Merchant combines shop management with an idle dungeon crawler.
Buy and sell weapons, armour, potions, and other goods while upgrading the shop. Hire adventurers, equip them with items, and send them into changing dungeon levels to retrieve gold and loot. Dungeon conditions affect demand for particular goods, creating opportunities to buy at lower prices and sell at higher prices. Deeper levels offer better loot but tougher monsters. A hero who dies is permanently lost, along with the equipment they carried. Shop upgrades expand the business, while character dialogue provides information about the game world. The central objective is to earn enough gold to repay a debt owed to the king.
