Our take on Sol Cesto
The defining mechanic is the four-by-four combat choice: selecting a row does not determine the destination, because landing on one of its four tiles remains random.
What is Sol Cesto?
Sol Cesto is a tactical roguelite set in a randomly generated underground world.
Players choose one of four rows on a combat grid, then land randomly on one of four tiles in that row. Each tile may contain a monster, a chest, or a poison trap, so progress depends on weighing possible outcomes. Seven characters offer different powers, statistics, and abilities. Across five biomes, players collect magical items, special powers, cursed teeth, and other tools to alter the game’s rules, probabilities, and combat effects. Stone teeth influence outcomes, while metal teeth trigger curses and combos. The objective is to descend through the changing dungeon in search of the sun.
