Our take on Hold The Mine
The game concentrates its structure around a repeating day-and-night defense cycle. That focus leaves less room for broad campaign management or continuously shifting battlefields, trading strategic variety at the campaign level for resource routing, construction combinations, and nightly survival.
What is Hold The Mine?
Hold The Mine combines mine exploration, resource management, construction, and nighttime defense in a roguelike survival structure.
During the day, a dwarf takes a limited number of expeditions, mining several connected blocks while players choose routes through the unexplored mine. Resources fund buildings with distinct effects that can work together as the mine expands. Players discover blueprints and construct buildings, while relics are included among the available content. Trapped heroes can be recruited and improved with runes, fruits, ability unlocks, and stat upgrades.
After nightfall, heroes defend the mine entrance against monster waves sent by a cursed tower. Some buildings provide powers that can be activated during battles. The listed content includes 12 heroes, more than 50 abilities, over 75 buildings and relics, and more than 20 block types.
