Our take on Rhythm Sprout: Sick Beats & Bad Sweets
The focus on timed movement and combat gives each stage a clear musical structure, but leaves less room for open-ended exploration or broader role-playing systems. Replay variation comes from modifiers and score challenges rather than a large world or branching campaign.
What is Rhythm Sprout: Sick Beats & Bad Sweets?
Rhythm Sprout is a fast-paced rhythm-action game built around original music and 30 handcrafted levels.
Players move and fight in time with tracks inspired by EDM, K-POP, drum’n’bass, disco, lo-fi hip-hop, metal, and other genres. Each level has a themed 3D environment with events and hidden details. Between stages, a self-aware story follows Sprout, the Chosen Onion, through the Vegetable Kingdom and encounters with its Sweet Villains. Difficulty options, score-based achievements, bonus stages, and level modifiers add variation. Modifiers can increase song speed, mirror the layout, rearrange notes, or change patterns during play. Sprout also has unlockable outfits, while weapons can use alternate skins.
