Our take on Soundodger+
Its defining format is a bullet-dodging game in which every hazard pattern is choreographed to the accompanying music.
What is Soundodger+?
Soundodger+ combines bullet-hell movement with rhythm-game timing.
Players navigate levels where incoming bullets are choreographed to music across multiple difficulty settings. Hidden hearts can provide extra protection during difficult sections, and collecting them through a level unlocks additional tracks and modes. The game includes more than 20 main tracks, over 30 DLC levels, and music from artists including Disasterpeace, Danny Baranowsky, and Austin Wintory. Auto-Gen creates stages from personal music, while the Level Editor supports custom designs. Zen mode removes score concerns, Slo-Mo slows play, and Smooth Listening keeps the music uninterrupted. Mouse, keyboard, and controller controls are available.
How Soundodger+ plays
- 01Custom Level Creation
- The editor lets players build their own stages, while hundreds of community levels are also available.
- 02Music-Based Generation

- 03Multiple Play Modes

- 04Included DLC Levels
- More than 30 additional stages are included with the game.
Soundodger+ compared to similar games
Intralism is a rhythm game built around matching arcs to the beat, with online multiplayer, rankings, and an editor. Soundodger+ instead asks players to evade music-synchronized bullets and includes modes such as Zen and Slo-Mo. The other listed alternatives do not describe the same rhythm-and-dodging task.
