What is Reloader: test_subject?
Reloader: test_subject is a prologue to the Reloader Project, centered on manual reloading and close-quarters combat.
Players handle each stage of using a pistol, including loading a magazine, securing it, and operating the slide to chamber a round. Ammunition must be tracked by counting the bullets remaining in the magazine. The weapon can also malfunction unexpectedly, requiring players to restore it during combat. Encounters are built around tactical situations and problem solving.
The story follows a character who wakes in an unfamiliar building, is rescued by a self-described spy, and becomes a test subject for unstable technology. With a pistol and a few magazines, the player attempts to escape the building while facing armed gang members alone. Retro pixel graphics are combined with futuristic lighting effects.
