Our take on Pax Nova
The presentation emphasizes secrets, races and an open-ended space opera, while the actual structure centers on turn-based 4X management. Exploration is paired with city building, diplomacy, expansion and combat across both planetary surfaces and space.
What is Pax Nova?
Pax Nova is a turn-based 4X strategy game about humanity leaving an increasingly uninhabitable Earth for Eos.
Players choose one of 15 factions from three races and explore procedurally generated planets with varied biomes, challenges, secrets, creatures, characters and factions. Expansion includes building cities, establishing colonies, creating space bases and setting up outposts. Diplomacy can expand through traits, technologies and specific events, while conflicts may occur on planetary surfaces or in space. Pirates, space creatures and other beings can affect progress beyond inhabited worlds. Players can pursue quests, uncover Eos’s past, customize units and ships, and work toward individual victory conditions.
