Play it if you…
Good fit- Tower-defense players who want to manage resources while choosing tower placements and upgrades.
- Strategy players who enjoy adapting defenses to different planetary environments.
- Players who want to weigh selling a high-rarity tower against keeping its strength in battle.
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a story-led campaign may find the focus on tower placement, resource management and upgrades narrow.
- Players who prefer fixed tower attributes may not enjoy rarity levels and four tower colors affecting production and strength.
- Players looking for a multiplayer party game may find its defensive strategy format unsuitable.
Our take on Planet TD
Rather than relying only on fixed tower strength, Planet TD adds rarity progression and variable tower colors. Selling a high-value yellow tower also makes resource management part of the defense, creating a choice between retaining strength and funding additional towers.
What is Planet TD?
Planet TD is a tower-defense game about protecting four planets from robots sent by an advanced civilization.
The planets feature snowy, glacial, desert, arid, green and mountainous environments. Players place six tower types, manage resources and select upgrades, with each tower able to develop through three levels during a game. Tower rarity begins at level one and can increase through in-game experience. Four colors indicate tower strength, and higher rarity raises the chance of producing a yellow tower when building one. The 25 enemy types include drones, tanks, biorobotic enemies and different ground and air vehicles.
How Planet TD plays
