Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a broad campaign or a sequence of different game modes may find the focus on one two-player board game limiting.
- Those who dislike careful, turn-by-turn planning may hit a wall when choosing patches with different button costs and time demands.
- Players looking for party games with larger groups may prefer a format built around more than two participants.
Our take on Patchwork
The sticking point is the patch choice: each piece trades button cost against time, so players who do not want to weigh both before every move may lose interest once that decision loop sets the pace.
What is Patchwork?
Patchwork is a digital version of Uwe Rosenberg’s two-player board game.
Players choose fabric pieces of different sizes and fit them onto a quilt, balancing each patch’s button cost against the time it takes to sew. The aim is to fill more of the quilt and collect more buttons than the opponent. Matches can be played against computer opponents at three difficulty levels, locally with a friend, or in cross-platform multiplayer against players around the world. An interactive tutorial introduces the game, while Playback lets players review games and study moves. Backgrounds and colorful patterns customize the interface.
