Our take on Mutropolis
The point-and-click structure keeps the focus on investigation and puzzles, but gives less room to action-driven play. Its stated play time is 10–15 hours, so the experience is bounded rather than built around extended repeat sessions.
What is Mutropolis?
Set in the year 5000, Mutropolis follows Henry Dijon, an archaeologist on Mars who travels with his team to Earth in search of forgotten relics.
When his professor is kidnapped, Henry investigates the ruins of human civilization, works to rescue him, and pursues the legendary city of Mutropolis. The game is a sci-fi detective adventure played through point-and-click interactions and archaeological puzzles. Its setting includes more than 50 hand-drawn scenes, populated by unusual characters. The puzzles combine archaeology with science-fiction ideas, while the story also features the gods of ancient Egypt as a threat to humanity. English voice acting is included, with text available in Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
