Our take on Laserlife
The bounce point comes before the story unfolds: play requires either a controller or an Intel RealSense Camera. After that, players who dislike coordinating two laser inputs may hit the next wall, since analog-stick control is central to collecting and navigating memories.
What is Laserlife?
Explore the reconstructed memories of a dead astronaut discovered in deep space by future intelligences unfamiliar with humanity.
Control two lasers with analog sticks to gather memory molecules around a mysterious spacecraft, bring memories into harmony within a metaphysical realm, and return to reality through the astronaut’s subconscious while avoiding mental blocks. Energizing the astronaut allows physical manifestations of its memories to appear. Laserlife is structured as an existential adventure intended for one sitting. Play requires either an Intel RealSense Camera or a controller.
How Laserlife plays
- 01Dual-laser control
- The lasers are directed through analog-stick input, with an Intel RealSense Camera or controller required for play.
- 02Memory molecule collection
- Scattered molecules can be gathered throughout the mysterious spacecraft.
- 03Metaphysical harmonizing
- Collected memories are brought into harmony within the astronaut’s metaphysical plane.
- 04Subconscious navigation
- The route back to reality passes through the astronaut’s subconscious and includes mental obstacles.
- 05Physical manifestations
- Energizing the astronaut causes memories to take physical form.
