What is Brukel?
Brukel is a first-person exploration game set in an abandoned farmhouse connected to the memories of Bie Verlinden, the designer’s grandmother.
Players use a smartphone camera to photograph objects and other items in the house. Identifying an item correctly triggers a related spoken recollection from Bie, delivered in a Flemish dialect with English subtitles. As the night progresses, supernatural elements appear while the stories turn toward traumatic events from her teenage years. The game includes digital zoom, exposure, and focus controls for the camera, along with light puzzles. There is no combat, and the complete experience takes about an hour.
