Instead of treating landscape building as a one-way construction task, the game makes survival part of the structure. Seasonal flooding places a deadline on each stage, while tile groupings can alter both island height and score.
What is Land Above Sea Below?
Land Above Sea Below combines tile placement, landscape building, puzzles, and strategy.
Players expand an island with generated terrain such as forests, rivers, mountains, villages, and sea features while the water level rises. Placing related tiles together can create interactions that increase the island’s height and award points. Those points can provide extra steps during a season, lower the sea, or add another Tree of Fall. Flooding occurs at the end of each season, so the island or its starting tile must remain above the water. Small islands discovered during expansion can be connected to the main island, adding their tiles. Infinite mode continues while the Tree of Fall remains above sea level.
