- Players seeking a realistic driving simulator may not want a crime game built around vehicle hijacking and destruction.
Our take on Maniac
Rather than centering on a fixed race or mission sequence, Maniac puts open-world destruction and escape at the heart of play. Its rogue-lite elements, changing city, and map editor depart from the usual progression through set tracks or a linear crime story.
What is Maniac?
Maniac is a rogue-lite crime action game set in an open-world city.
Players cause destruction while aggressive AI tries to catch them. The city contains 11 districts and includes a map editor. Players can hijack vehicles such as bulldozers, buses, police cars, and tanks. Driving physics support drifting, while chain reactions can alter the environment.
