Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly scripted campaign may find the roguelite run structure and random events too variable

- Solo players uninterested in multiplayer rankings or cooperative rescues may not use part of the feature set
Our take on Pass the Fear
The build system offers many combinations, but that variety comes with a trade-off: runs depend on available pickups and random events, so pursuing a specific weapon setup may not be consistent from one attempt to the next.
What is Pass the Fear?
Pass the Fear is a roguelite bullet-hell shooter about a demon hunter trapped on an island surrounded by a corrupting Storm Wall.
The objective is to escape within 12 hours while facing growing monster hordes and uncovering a conspiracy. Runs center on weapon customization through weapons, weapon parts, relics, Tarot Cards, elemental effects, and random events. These can produce projectile-heavy builds, concentrated attacks, transmutation chains, looping triggers, and other damage setups. Character and team talents provide additional growth as the player ventures deeper. Higher difficulty levels add stronger enemies, improved drop rates, and Chaos Battle Scar mode, where each Battle Scar grants a benefit alongside a drawback. Multiplayer includes rescues, item trading, shared combat, and squad damage rankings.
