Set in a rundown British town centre during the late 1980s, the game follows an unemployed character managing fortnightly benefits.
Money can be spent on football and horse-racing bets, kebabs, beer, exercise, or other daily needs. Horse races feature 3D visuals, audio commentary, speech synthesis, and sound effects, while football results provide another betting option. The Sporting Life newspaper can be studied before placing bets and following race outcomes. A beach visit raises health, and the pub includes a card-based reward system and a fruit machine. Losing money can lead to hunger, illness, and death. Steam achievements and a leaderboard are included.
