We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Casual players who want a low-pressure tile-placement strategy game

- Solo players who prefer shaping colorful landscapes at their own pace
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking combat-focused strategy, since military camps are part of a broader world-building system

- Players looking for a highly complex strategy game with extensive systems beyond tile matching and technology development
Our take on Zen World
The relaxed tile-building format gives up the urgency and tactical intensity found in combat-driven strategy games. Its open-ended placement also makes personal expression possible, but players seeking a tightly directed campaign may find the flexible structure less compelling.
What is Zen World?
Build a kingdom from a small patch of land among the clouds by placing hexagonal tiles and matching their border types.
Create routes for scouts to reach valuable loot, open boxes for additional tiles and powerups, and develop the kingdom through a technology tree that grants new abilities and upgrades. Military camps protect the population as the territory expands. The game supports two approaches: placing tiles according to personal preference or planning expansions to pursue a higher score and compete with friends. Progress involves finding a route through the clouds while gradually developing the landscape, its technology, its defenses, and the available tile supply.
