Our take on Tile Tale
Instead of centering strategy on armies or territorial conflict, Tile Tale builds its play around arranging matching tiles into geometric fields. Its limited supply makes each placement part of a score-and-resource cycle, while special buildings and tile rules alter how that cycle works.
What is Tile Tale?
Tile Tale is a grid-based game in which tiles are pushed into place to form fields of matching types.
The tile supply is limited, and the game ends when all tiles have been used. Forming geometric shapes, such as a 2-by-2 square of forest tiles, earns points and adds tiles. Challenges unlock content, while different tile types introduce their own rules. Players can create settings including islands, swamps, and mountain ranges, and place special buildings with individual abilities. For example, windmills turn nearby grasslands into wheat fields each turn; these score well but produce fewer new tiles when combined. Portals can bring in creatures that corrupt tiles, and power-ups offer ways to address difficult board situations.
