Our take on Kingdom Wars 4
Rather than treating medieval strategy as a steady march of conquest, the campaign introduces a pandemic that redirects attention toward population survival. Realm management, battlefield control, and disease response share the same historical setting and can pull priorities in different directions.
What is Kingdom Wars 4?
Set in 1347, this historical grand-strategy and real-time strategy hybrid lets players lead a minor lord or king across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Manage towns, hamlets, trade, economies, diplomacy, and armies on a world map, then enter RTS scenes to build structures and walls or position troops. Battles include sieges, field engagements, and naval combat involving thousands of units. The Black Death changes the campaign from territorial expansion to population survival, with quarantine, medieval medicine, and trade restrictions available as responses. Victories provide resources through looting and dismantling settlements. The game includes dozens of kingdoms and over 300 playable lords and kings, while an optional undead mode is available as free DLC.
