Our take on Full Spectrum Warrior
The squad-leader design prioritizes coordinating groups over direct control of individual soldiers. That trade-off keeps attention on team movement and fire-team roles, while limiting the focus on personal character development or one-soldier action.
What is Full Spectrum Warrior?
Full Spectrum Warrior puts players in charge of Alpha and Bravo fire teams during urban infantry missions.
Real-time play combines battlefield commands with direct action, while the squad leader manages eight troops. Mission scenarios follow U. S. Army infantry doctrine, and the weapons and gear are based on equipment used by that force. Hostile positions may be concealed along streets, inside structures, or across narrow lines of sight. Cooperative play accommodates two participants, assigning one fire team to each. Two additional stages are included on some versions but are absent from Xbox. The project was first created as an instructional resource for the U. S. Army, with the goal of reinforcing military doctrine and teamwork among soldiers.
How Full Spectrum Warrior plays
- 01Two-Player Co-op
- Each participant controls one fire team during cooperative play.
- 02Eight-Soldier Command
- The squad leader directs eight soldiers during live encounters.
- 03Army-Based Equipment
- Weapons and gear reflect equipment used by the U.S. Army.
- 04Bonus Levels
- Two additional levels are included but unavailable on Xbox.
