Good fit- Players seeking F-16 cockpit and weapons-system simulation rather than civilian flying
- Combat flight fans looking for missions with air-to-ground targets
- Players interested in dogfights with MiG opponents and the option to fly with an F-16 wingman
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a long campaign may find the 12-mission structure limited
- Players who find cockpit controls and managing several weapon types demanding may hit a wall during combat
- Players looking for a non-combat flight experience will not find that focus here
Our take on Falcon
Players may bounce off the weapons-management layer rather than the flying itself. Choosing among missiles, bombs, and cannon while handling dogfights creates a specific hurdle, particularly when missions also involve low-altitude attacks and ground targets.
What is Falcon?
Falcon is an F-16 combat flight simulator focused on low-altitude flying, air combat, and attacks on ground targets.
Pilots fly over buildings, forests, freeways, and bridges, targeting tanks, airfields, power stations, bridges, and SAM sites. The aircraft includes cockpit instruments, head-up displays, flight controls, electronics, countermeasures, and weapons such as heat-seeking missiles, Maverick missiles, bombs, and a cannon. Enemy MiGs appear in dogfights, and pilots can fly with an F-16 wingman. The game has 12 missions and five skill levels, from Lieutenant to Colonel. Other elements include re-arming and refueling, four cockpit views, chase, tower, MiG and missile viewpoints, a flight recorder, and awards and commendations.
