The defining structure is a run-based battle against escalating pressure: the Alchemist can curse the player and send plague-made monsters while powers are reshaped through rune combinations.
What is Crystal Plague?
Crystal Plague is a top-down dark-fantasy roguelite slasher about a world consumed by a plague created by the Alchemist.
Weakened gods summon the last unaffected souls to gather magical strength and defeat him. During each run, players use different souls, collect runes, and improve souls through gifts from the gods. Runes alter powers through different combinations, while perk upgrades increase combat capabilities. The Alchemist responds by cursing the player and sending plague-created monsters. Each curse presents a choice about which affliction to accept. The overall objective is to complete the gods’ quest, build enough power to confront the Alchemist, and save what remains of the world.
