Our take on bit Dungeon III
The first hard stop comes after death: there is only one chance to retrieve a soul. Players who reach online invasions face another loss point, since an opponent can take unequipped inventory items and the soul.
What is bit Dungeon III?
bit Dungeon III combines 2D action-adventure RPG play with rogue-lite systems.
The overworld, dungeons, secrets, objects, and humanoid characters are procedurally created. When death occurs, one soul remains at the death site, and recovery is allowed only once; defeating bosses provides additional souls. Steam Network multiplayer includes cooperative sessions and player invasions. An invader may defeat another player and claim that character’s unequipped items and soul.
Weapons influence advancement: every category uses its own special attack and attribute progression, while changing categories begins advancing the replacement weapon toward the character’s overall level. Boss rewards can include weapon enchantments, and gathered stat runes can be swapped to modify the character. Quest and boss weapons, challenging dungeon bosses, controller support, New Game Plus, and an original soundtrack are also included.
